Kansas City Beer Fest to partner with local organization to raise awareness.

With the fall season approaching, festivals are continuing to ramp up. One taking place is the Kansas City Beer Fest which will make its return to Kansas City Power and Light this weekend, September 9. Enjoy over 200 types of hand-picked crafted beers from around the world!

This annual beer festival is known as one of KC’s most recognized craft brew events where patrons will be able to enjoy food vendors to include the Flying Saucer, Leinenkugel’s KC, and Pie Hole. Live music and additional entertainment will be provided throughout the day, with patrons recommended to arrive early to get their fair share of beer tastings.

However, while having fun is a motive, there is a real cause behind the event. The KC Beer Fest also partners with local organizations to raise awareness and funds for their cause. This year, KC Beer Fest will partner with Drink Local, Think Global which provides clean and safe drinking water to people who are in developing nations. By engaging the craft beer industry and their consumers, Drink Local, Think Global believes this partnership between breweries and craft beer lovers can help alleviate a global water crisis, in addition to changing millions of lives effected.

This will be the ninth year Kansas City has hosted the Beer Fest with The Flying Saucer as this year’s sponsor. The event will start at 3:00 p.m. at 1330 Grand Blvd, with VIP ticket holders having the opportunity to arrive at 2:00 p.m.

To get tickets, visit You must be 21 years or older.
