Help raise money for Cardinal Glennon kids and get some exercise in too. Join St. Louis for the 5K Sun Run September 24 at Ballpark Village.
Do you like to run? Do you like helping kids? Looking for a great opportunity in St. Louis? Look no further than the Sun Run 5K run and one mile walk on September 24. This run will help raise money for the Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, helping kids and their families be healthy and stay healthy.
Although the run starts at 9 a.m. at Ballpark Village, participants should come early. Registration and packet pick-up opens at 7:30 a.m. After the race, there will be an awards ceremony. The top three women and top three men will receive prizes, as well as runners within certain age groups.
Anyone is welcome to participate in the event, whether you love to run, if you just do it to stay fit and active, or if you prefer to walk. You don’t event have to run–there’s a walking part too. Everyone who participates receives a Sun Run t-shirt.
Cardinal Glennon cares for more than 200,000 children each year in the St. Louis area. Funds raised from this event will go towards the Children’s Fund, which helps for renovations and medicine and surgery advancements. For over 60 years, Cardinal Glennon has specialized in providing children in the St. Louis area top notch pediatric care. Recently, they’ve been named the Best Children’s Hospital by U.S. News and World Report.
